We keep our excitement for the upcoming 60th celebrations high by rewatching the 2013 biopic about the Hartnell era that was part of the 50th anniversary broadcast range.

We discuss the historical representations of the icons that brought the Doctor Who program to life, fought for its survival, and made the difficult decisions when it was clear that the leading actor had served the titular role admirably, but for long enough. We also discuss the balance between accurate depiction and dramatic license, as well as those other moments from Whovian history that we’d love to see similar biopics done for, if we had any say in it.

We don’t, but hey. A kid can dream.
