Heck of a continuity problem you got there, Bob

Stepping into other film & television properties that explore time travel, we look at Terry Gilliam’s 1996 exploration of a post-pandemic attempt to return to normalcy. (Too soon?)

There’s a lot to appreciate in the way ‘fixed events’ are treated, as well as the way the details of of Cole’s recurring childhood memory change and clarify over time. We all agree that not divulging too much about how the time machine actually works is a good call…partially to avoid overanalysis of any explanation they could have given, but also that doing so is in keeping with Gilliam’s disdain for technology in general.

But oh, that fresh, wonderful air…
