As we take another grimacing look into the Black Guardian’s manipulation of Turlough, it’s Nyssa who leaves us concerned by the story’s end.

We discuss the position Turlough is in as the would-be assassin and ‘fall guy’, as well as the last-minute change in Valgard and the motivation(s) behind it. We also agree that for a send-off story, this treated Nyssa with a rather shaky hand, combining a fair encapsulation of her intelligence and commitment with a disrespectful choice of wardrobe and damsel-in-distress frailty unbefitting the character.

Oh, and noisy armor? Can we talk for a moment about REALLY noisy armor?
